Which locations will gain accessibility from the new Spain-Portugal bridge?

This was one of the resolutions taken at the Spanish Council of Ministers, just under a week before the Portuguese-Spanish Summit, which will take place next Wednesday, 23 October, at Palácio Fialho (Colégio do Alto), in Faro.

This summit was seen as the last opportunity to facilitate the advancement of this work, which is a long-standing aspiration of the population of this area of the border and which will be paid for, in full, by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, according to a report by Sul Informação.

In practice, this means that the Alcoutim Chamber, which owns the work and has already carried out all the necessary procedures, will soon be able to launch the Public Tender to award the work.

At the same meeting of the Spanish Council of Ministers, the construction of the international bridge between Cedillo (Spain) and Montalvão-Nisa (Portugal), over the Sever River, was also approved.
